Commonwealth University College of Medicine is thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our journey towards excellence in medical education. We are delighted to share the news of our successful attainment of full approval and recognition from the Ministry of Education of Saint Lucia.
In a message received from the Ministry of Education, Dr. Alex Ephrem, President of Commonwealth University College of Medicine, has been granted permission to operate as a private educational institution in accordance with Section 97, Division 2 of the Saint Lucia Education Act (Chapter 18.01) revised edition as of December 31, 2005. This landmark approval allows us to offer the prestigious Doctor of Medicine (MD) program with a maximum intake of one hundred and twenty (120) students.
The official permit was granted on September 1, 2023, and it is valid until September 2, 2026, paving the way for a bright future in medical education. This achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication and commitment of the entire Commonwealth University team.
