Scholarship Eligibility & Retention Policy

  • Qualified Candidates: Our merit awards are available to all incoming MD1 students and eligible transfer students. For those entering at advanced levels, scholarship amounts will be pro-rated accordingly; please consult accounts@cucom.org for specific calculations.
  • Maintenance Standards: To ensure continued funding, recipients must remain in Good Academic Standing. This signifies consistent progress through the MD program without failure.
  • Accountability: Students placed on academic probation—defined as failing any course during a semester—will lose their "Good Academic Standing" status and forfeit future scholarship installments.
  • Single-Award Rule: To ensure fair distribution of support, scholarships cannot be combined. If a student qualifies for both the Preclinical Science and MCAT/NEET/UCAT awards, CUCOM will automatically apply for the scholarship with the higher financial value.

Premedical Distinguished Merit Scholarships

Our Premedical scholarships are designed to support students as they build their foundational medical knowledge. This funding is available to all newly accepted students, whether you are beginning your journey in Semester 1 or transferring into the program.
